QRAlarm Privacy Policy

Effective: September 23, 2026

QRAlarm is an alarm clock that asks you to scan a QR code to stop your alarm. We built it to work entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. QRAlarm has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party software development kits. We do not collect, transmit or sell any personal information.

Data stored on your device

Your alarms, QR missions, alarm history and statistics are stored only on your device, in QRAlarm's private storage. Your preferences (alarm sound, theme, whether you've seen the welcome screens) are also stored locally. Deleting an item in the app, or deleting the app, removes this data. We have no copy of it.

Camera

QRAlarm uses the camera only while the scanner screen is open, to detect the QR code that stops your alarm. Detection happens on your device. No photos or video are taken, saved or sent anywhere. You can revoke camera access at any time in Settings; without it, the alarm cannot be stopped by scanning.

Notifications

QRAlarm schedules local notifications on your device to alert you when an alarm is due. No notification server is involved. You can turn notifications off in Settings; alarms will then only ring while the app is open.

Photos

If you choose Save Image, QRAlarm asks for permission to add the QR poster to your photo library. It never reads your existing photos.

QR codes

Each mission's QR code contains only a random identifier. It contains no personal information and works only with the QRAlarm app that created it.

Purchases

QRAlarm Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; QRAlarm receives only the information needed to confirm your purchase and unlock Premium features. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles payment data.

Children

QRAlarm is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
