Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the NotYet mobile application ("NotYet," "App," "we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using NotYet, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Description of the App

NotYet is a digital-wellbeing and productivity application designed to help users create a deliberate pause before accessing applications they choose to restrict.

The App may provide features including:

  • Application blocking or shielding
  • Countdown-based pause experiences
  • Warning messages
  • Custom warning messages
  • Blocking schedules
  • Screen Time-related functionality
  • Usage statistics
  • NotYet Pro subscriptions
  • Lifetime purchases

Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to use the App under the laws applicable to you.

If you are a minor, you should use the App only with the involvement or permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

3. Apple Screen Time Permissions

Some NotYet functionality requires Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and/or Device Activity permissions.

You must grant the required permissions for the relevant features to function.

NotYet does not bypass Apple's security, privacy, parental-control, or Screen Time protections.

The availability and behavior of certain features may depend on Apple's operating system, device configuration, permissions, and APIs.

Apple may change its operating system or APIs in ways that affect NotYet.

4. User Responsibility

NotYet is a tool intended to support personal focus and digital-wellbeing habits.

You remain responsible for:

  • The applications you choose to block
  • Your blocking schedules
  • Your custom messages
  • Your decision to enter an application
  • Your use of the App
  • Ensuring that blocking does not interfere with important communications, emergency situations, work responsibilities, or other necessary activities

NotYet should not be relied upon as an emergency communication, safety, medical, security, or parental-control system.

You should ensure that important applications remain accessible when necessary.

5. Custom Content

NotYet may allow you to create custom warning messages, message packs, goals, or other content.

You are solely responsible for content that you create or enter into the App.

You agree not to use the App to create or distribute content that:

  • Violates applicable law
  • Infringes another person's rights
  • Contains unlawful threats
  • Contains malicious code
  • Is used to harass or abuse others
  • Violates these Terms

6. NotYet Pro

Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase ("NotYet Pro").

NotYet Pro may include:

  • Unlimited blocked applications
  • Multiple schedules
  • Additional countdown durations
  • Additional message packs
  • Custom message sequences
  • Advanced statistics
  • Other premium features

The exact features included with NotYet Pro may change over time.

7. Subscriptions

If you purchase a recurring NotYet Pro subscription:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription automatically renews unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal according to Apple's applicable billing rules.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account's subscription settings.

Any free trial or introductory offer will be presented to you through the App Store and will be subject to the applicable terms displayed at the time of purchase.

If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled according to Apple's applicable cancellation rules.

8. Lifetime Purchase

If offered, NotYet may provide a one-time lifetime purchase.

A lifetime purchase provides access to the applicable NotYet Pro features for as long as those features remain supported by the App, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store rules.

A lifetime purchase is not a guarantee that every future feature will be included indefinitely.

We may change, replace, or discontinue features in future versions of the App.

9. Purchases and Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store.

We do not directly process your payment information.

Requests for refunds are subject to Apple's applicable policies and procedures.

10. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use NotYet for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • Copy or redistribute the App
  • Reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly permits it
  • Modify or create derivative works based on the App
  • Attempt to circumvent security or technical restrictions
  • Use private or unauthorized APIs to interfere with the App
  • Resell or sublicense the App
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes

11. Intellectual Property

NotYet, including its software, design, graphics, branding, logos, text, and other content provided by us, is owned by or licensed to Gimpact and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.

12. Third-Party Services

NotYet may rely on Apple services and other third-party technologies.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for changes, interruptions, or limitations imposed by third-party services that affect the App.

13. Availability

We aim to keep NotYet reliable and available, but we do not guarantee that:

  • The App will always be available
  • Every feature will always work
  • The App will be compatible with every future iOS version
  • Apple's Screen Time APIs will remain unchanged
  • Blocking will function identically on every device or iOS version

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, subject to applicable law.

14. Disclaimer

NotYet is provided as a digital-wellbeing and productivity tool.

The App does not guarantee that you will reduce your screen time, increase productivity, change your habits, or achieve any particular result.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NotYet is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gimpact will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use NotYet.

You are responsible for ensuring that blocking schedules do not prevent access to applications or services that you need.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gimpact from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of NotYet, violation of these Terms, or misuse of the App.

17. Termination

You may stop using NotYet at any time by deleting the App.

We may suspend or terminate access to the App where reasonably necessary, including if you materially violate these Terms or where required by law.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that by their nature should survive termination.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made.

Your continued use of NotYet after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
